Monsal Trail & Tunnels
please note that essential lighting work is being carried out for 5 weeks from Monday 13th May.  The tunnels will be open but lighting will be lower than usual

Hassop Station, nr Bakewell

This is a lovely Cafe, Shop & Cycle Hire Centre near Bakewell.  Parking is
available either at Hassop or at Bakewell and it is only a short walk to 
Bakewell to reach Hassop Station.  Alternatively take along you bikes and
explore the Trail. Carry on past Hassop and you will reach the re-opened Monsal
Tunnel - see above. Hassop Station Website

The High Peak Trail

30 miles of trail for cycling and walking stretching from Wirksworth, near Matlock to Ashbourne. 
Either take your own bike or hire one from one of the cycle hire centres along the route.

There is a Family Friendly route of 3 miles or the 8 mile cycle route around the reservoir has some steeper
