Parking Tips
Parking Charges - these vary by town with Glossop being about the cheapest at 60p/hour and Bakewell the most at £1.20/hour. Most are short stay up to 4 hours so check when you park up how long you can stay.
Bakewell - Monday is Market Day so the short stay town centre car parks are used. Park at the Showground Car Park or the all day Car Parks over the bridge heading towards Chatsworth for £4 all day. Best tip on free parking - head to the end of Coombs Road for all day free parking Map of Car Parks
Chatsworth - all day parking is £3 if you park at the main house car park or just £2 if you park at Carlton Lees car park.
Eyam - there is an all day FREE Car Park next to Eyam Museum, also next to the Pay & Display!
Matlock Bath - FREE Parking if you are going to Gullivers Kingdom
Matlock Bath - limited long stay parking in the town. 1 hour FREE parking on the main road, but this fills up quick. Parking is available at Cromford Meadows (follow signs for Arkwrights Mill) and take the 1mile walk past Masson Mill Shopping Centre and the river.
Matlock Bath - Venetian Nights in September - park and ride available at Matlock and Cromford.
Peak District National Park - they run 45 car parks, 18 of them are Pay & Display. Details on their website.
